Hardie Board

Hardie Board is fibre cement board siding. Fibre cement is a composed of sand, cement and cellulose fibers. James Hardie developed it over a century ago to provide an exterior product that could withstand a variety of extreme weather conditions. Today James Hardie, the company, has improved on that idea by  creating the HardieZone system. HZ5 products resist wet, freezing conditions, like we have in Alberta. HZ10 products deal with heat, humidity, blistering sun and more, like Arizona.

The Hardie Board Advantage

“Engineered for Climate” Hardie Board will outperform vinyl and wood products. Vinyl is susceptible to the sun and cold, resulting in cracking, warping, fading and even softening. Wood products react poorly to moisture and humidity which causes  mold, swelling, cracking, and colour separation.

In contrast to other siding options James Hardie siding is not combustible. It will not ignite when exposed to a direct flame. In addition it does not contribute fuel to a fire.

Keeping in mind what it is made of, Hardie Board is not susceptible to damage by birds and insects.

The  James Hardie  products are available primed and ready to paint. But you can choose ColourPlus Technology, providing you with a beautiful range of finished colours that will outlast any paint job, resisting fading, peeling, chipping and cracking.

The Jamies Hardie product line includes an extensive collection of siding options and trims. Different textures, widths and colors will allow you to create the look for your home that you envision.

HardieShingle-Siding

We have all seen old homes with cedar shingles. Usually associated with Cape Cod-style homes, shingles will instantly add character to the home. You can use it for the total exterior or apply it to accentuate features such as dormers or around your front entry door.

James Hardie has revolutionized this look by offering it in 2 styles, straight edge and staggered edge. Combine these edges with 18 rich colours and you have a timeless look. Combine all of this with the HardiPlank series and the looks and styles you are able to create are endless.
