Parking Garage Coatings

Parking garages and concrete slabs above underground parking lots require durable, long-lasting coatings to prevent moisture penetration. Water on concrete foundations and underground lots can cause cracking and rust re-bar. This compromises the structural integrity of the parking building.

In Calgary, parking garages are subject to excess moisture year round. In the summer vehicles track in moisture on rainy days. In the winter, snow and slush melts off vehicles after they are parked indoors.

FlexStone Base Coat

Flexstone base is a premium water-catalyzed urethane designed for waterproofing. The base coat is a thick white trowel applied coat that is spread evenly over a surface.

The base coat is generally applied at a thickness of 1/8″ to 1/16″. It cures to a firm, flexible finish that can withstand extreme heat and extreme cold.

The base can be applied over almost any surface and maintains a tremendous bond with the substrate for decades.

The base coat is the most important component of the Flexstone systems. It provides the necessary durability and waterproofing necessary for Alberta’s climate.

FlexStone Finishing Coats

Flexstone top coats go over top of the base to create a great looking deck. There are two top-coat options available; Standard Colour Coat Finish and Textured Stone Finish.
